ATIS Presents PEG 2010: Protecting Infrastructure During Difficult Economic Times

The Alliance for Telecommunication Industry Solutions (ATIS) is pleased to announce the Protection Engineers Group’s (PEG) 2010 Annual Conference. The three day event will be held on March 16 - 18, 2010 at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The PEG 2010 Conference will focus on the electrical protection principles applied to today’s core networks, those challenges inherent to tomorrow’s more decentralized networks, and protection engineering practices suitable to the current economy. Scheduled programming will examine multiple areas impacting the current and future protection engineering ecosystem, including: Domestic and International Standardization, Residential Protection Issues for Triple Play Telecommunications Services, High Frequency Protection, Radio Frequency Disturbance, Copper Theft, Evolving Ethernet Applications and Protection, and Solar Power and Microturbines. These educational sessions will feature experts from some of the ICT industry’s leading companies, including: Verizon Wireless, AT&T, CSI Communications, TII, Positron, Telcordia Technologies, Littelfuse, Tyco and others.

The Conference will also feature the second annual PEG Distinguished Lecturer Series. At PEG 2010, Richard Chadwick, of Potential Engineering Consulting – a noted lecturer with more than 30 years of related experience – is scheduled to provide a multifaceted, in-depth surge protection presentation.
