The Homeland Security for Networked Industries (HSNI)™ 2010 conference focuses on the topic of securing our nation's critical infrastructure industry networks, namely the Telecommunications, Utilities and Transportation industries. The conference also initiates dialogue between these industries and government in an environment dedicated to protecting the country, its people, its infrastructure and the nation's economy.

Securing Next Generation Communications Networks and Services

During this session, industry experts will examine how to protect the Next Generation Networks' (NGN) infrastructure and supported applications and services against growing cybersecurity threats. The panel will also discuss protecting and securing the voice and data application services, including: Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS) applications, which provides emergency access and priority processing in both the NGN and the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). NGN GETS allows the National Security and Emergency Preparedness community to communicate during challenging periods of high-traffic congestion and network disruption by providing priority treatment and increased call completion.
