Few technical planning and standards development organizations exist that offer the breadth of leadership and level of direction made available through ATIS.

• ATIS member companies have the opportunity to determine, prioritize, influence, and execute the top technical and operational priorities for the communications industry. Additionally, companies that join ATIS as Full Members and pay dues at the 100 percent level have the added opportunity to gain a seat on the ATIS Board of Directors, and participate on the ATIS Technical and Operations (TOPS) Council.

• The value of ATIS committee participation is becoming increasingly important to companies as the ATIS Board, through its TOPS Council, is identifying and executing work on the industry’s priorities, and deciding where valuable relationships are needed with other standards groups. ATIS member companies have the opportunity to engage in and advance the successful completion of prioritized standards work within both ATIS committees and through coordination of efforts with standards groups external to ATIS.
